The Journal of Business and Society (JBS) is an annual publication of the university. It is intended to act as a literary platform for exchange of ideas and experiences between academics and development activists. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, associate Professor, Department of Public Administration, University of Chittagong is the editor of the journal, who is also a research fellow at the School of Social Sciences and International Development, University of Wales, Swansea, UK.
He is a guest faculty at the Southern University. A semester newsletter called "Southern University News" is also published every semester for the faculty and students of the university with their voice and concerns. Ms. Sameeha Jahan is the editor of the bulletin.
